The starting field in Trinec is going to be an exciting show of Czech male and female high jumpers who are in excellent form. Jan Štefela has taken his abilities to a new level, surpassing a fantastic 230 cm in Prague's Stromovka this year. Jaroslav Baba's charge will now aim for a height of 233 cm, a step towards meeting the Olympic nomination criteria for participation in this year's Games in Paris.
In the women's competition, three Czech high jumpers will compete. Michaela Hrubá, the former junior world champion, is an experienced competitor who surpassed the 187 cm mark this year. However, with her growing form and the support of the spectators, she could cross the 190 cm mark. Denisa Pešová, with a best performance of over 188 cm, and Klara Krejčiříková, who will try to get closer to her personal best of 189 cm, adds further excitement to the women's competition.
We are looking forward to fights full of passion and excitement and we expect that Czech high jumpers will continue their success on the domestic and international scene. We wish them every success and great performances in the upcoming competitions, whether it be on home field or on the Olympic field in Paris.
